The Hunter tartan and clan crest printed across a lightweight throw — the one that stays on the sofa and gets reached for on an ordinary evening. The crowned greyhound and the motto Cursum Perficio — "I complete the course" — sit at the centre.
The Hunter name finished plenty of courses on this side of the Atlantic too: Robert Hunter, grandson of the 20th Laird of Hunterston, served as colonial Governor of Virginia and then of New York. A family of royal huntsmen in Ayrshire, governors in America — and now a quiet evening under the family colours at home.
50×60 inches, 100% polyester
Soft, lightweight and fade-resistant
Printed one side, white reverse
Hemmed edges, machine washable
An easy comfort to give a grandchild just starting to ask where the family came from.
